How do you get a class in Sell Fries?

Public guides describe a Classes station in the lobby, with a regular roll costing 25 Gems and an ad-funded alternative when offered. These are random rolls rather than a direct purchase of a chosen class. See AllThingsHow’s October 17 guide for the published menu explanation.

Read the live offer before confirming. An available free roll saves its stated Gem cost; it does not mean that Gems were added to your account. The recorded win-screen guide explains why reward labels and actual balance changes should also be kept distinct.

What are the regular class odds?

The following baseline names, rarities and probabilities agree across AllThingsHow and Sellfries.org’s class reference, checked October 19, 2026. We have not independently sampled the game’s random outcomes.

Class Published rarity Reported chance per roll Broad role described by the guides
Dishwasher Common 40% Defensive chance against grabs
Peeler Uncommon 28% Extra value from manual peeling
Runner Rare 16% Movement and pursuit control
Fry Cook Epic 10% Frying output and hot-oil protection
Head Chef Legendary 4.5% Team sales bonuses
Fry Tycoon Mythic 1.3% Cash accumulation and burst earnings
Potato King Divine 0.2% Team support, survival and earnings

This is the regular published pool, not a verified complete list after the Halloween event. The seasonal update announces an additional limited class without enough public detail to insert it into these odds.

Which class should you aim for?

Choose around the part of the run you want to improve. A player still peeling by hand has a different bottleneck from a team with a developed kitchen. Treat the role column as a shortlist, then read your current class card before rerolling it.

Our practical recommendation is to set a Gem limit first. A rare class may be desirable while still being a poor immediate target for a small balance. Do not discard useful progress merely because a tier list places your current class below a rare result you may never roll in that session.

The kitchen upgrade guide uses the same decision method: identify the slow task, compare a relevant upgrade and leave unmeasured earning claims separate. Class bonuses can also make cash results from two players unsuitable for direct comparison.

Does a 0.2% chance guarantee Potato King after 500 rolls?

No. Assuming independent rolls with a constant 0.2% chance and no pity system, the chance of at least one success after 100 rolls is 1 - 0.998^100, or about 18.1%. Those rolls would cost 2,500 Gems at the reported regular price, ignoring free rolls or price changes.

This is probability arithmetic using a published chance, not a simulation of the game or evidence about its implementation. We have not established whether the live game has pity, protection, event modifiers or other hidden rules. An average of 500 rolls under that model is not a guarantee by roll 500.

Which class details still need checking?

The sources disagree on at least one exact cash bonus: Fry Tycoon is listed as +40% by Sellfries.org and +60% by AllThingsHow. Rather than silently choosing one, this page omits a definitive multiplier table. Use the current in-game class card for the number that applies to your server.

The Halloween guide keeps the seasonal class separate for the same reason. Our source policy distinguishes a published report from a tested mechanic.
