Where does the golden key appear?

Halloween update note: the October 17 update reports a new basement cutscene. The original recordings below remain evidence for their shown route, but do not establish the current ending scene or any changed unlock requirements. Follow the objectives in your server when they differ.

The clearest identification shot in the footage we reviewed is a large golden key beside the inside of the serving window. The screen says “GRAB THE KEY!” The emergency button is on the left of the window and the fire extinguisher is on the right. Use those landmarks to recognize the scene.

This image establishes what the key scene looks like. It does not establish a guaranteed drop location for every run or the action that caused the key to appear. The footage shown here also does not give us a repeatable probability per potato. A key seen in a successful recording is evidence of that sequence, not a measured drop rate.

If you are still building your kitchen, use the upgrade evidence and bottleneck guide to decide what to improve. We do not treat any expensive tool as a proven requirement for obtaining the key.

Where is the door after getting the key?

TheKacperosEN’s walkthrough shows a “Go to the door!” objective at 67:14. The arrow points toward a ground-level hatch in the outdoor parking area. It sits beside the brick boundary wall and low green hedge, to the right of the potato pile in this view.

The word “door” can make this objective confusing: the destination shown here is a hatch in the ground. Look for the objective arrow and the hedge-side opening rather than assuming the ordinary shop entrance is the exit.

What should you do when the basement opens?

At 67:19, the hatch is visibly open and the game displays “The basement is open! Jump in!” The opening is immediately in front of the player. The recorded sequence proceeds to a victory screen.

Follow the visible objectives in this order:

  1. Recognize and collect the key when the game presents its key objective.
  2. Follow the door marker into the outdoor area beside the potato pile.
  3. Identify the hatch next to the hedge and brick wall.
  4. Wait for the open-basement instruction, then jump into the opening.
  5. Check the victory screen before treating the run as completed.

These frames do not resolve every possible failed interaction. If your hatch remains closed or no objective appears, compare your current objective with the recording; the screenshots alone cannot identify a bug or prove a missing purchase.

What happens after you jump inside?

The same walkthrough reaches “YOU WIN!” at 67:34. It also shows a First Shift achievement and a hard-mode unlock message. Read the win screen and hard-mode guide for the exact reward labels and lobby instruction.

The video’s timestamp is not a speedrun target. Different recordings may include pauses, cuts, or different starting points, and this run’s seven survived days are not a guaranteed key schedule. While working toward the objective, keep the anomaly survival guide available. Our evidence notes explain which claims come directly from frames and which questions still need more runs.
